Georgia’s own storytellers serve up six shorts seasoned with romance, mystery, faith, fear and queer resilience. Three of them—A Westside Love Story, Scissors and Call and Response—were supported by the Out On Film Filmmaker Fund, which supports local filmmakers in bringing distinctly Southern queer stories to the screen.

A mixed-up order at a neighborhood wing spot sends two Atlanta college students on an overnight journey filled with missed rides, shared dreams and unexpected connection. Elliot’s attempt to reunite with his ex-boyfriend takes a dark turn that reveals the true nature of their relationship. After receiving a mysterious love note, a teenage Sherlock Holmes must leave his comfort zone to uncover the identity of his secret admirer. An uncomfortable first date forces a youth pastor to confront questions about his own sexuality. A slasher with a grudge targets a group of queer friends, only to discover that his intended victims are more than ready to fight back. When a teenager is caught kissing her girlfriend in a church rectory, she must face her traditional grandfather and risk losing the only home she has ever known.

Tatum, a Clark Atlanta student, and Zion, a non-binary Spelman filmmaker, cross paths at a local wing spot after their orders get mixed up. Stranded by a stolen bike and a missed shuttle, the two spend the night navigating surreal encounters, sharing dreams, and discovering an unexpected connection on their way back to campus.
