Inspired by Shinji Ishii’s short story, this whimsical story explores love and curiosity through a man’s ever-shifting obsessions. Giuseppe dives headfirst into each new passion, from singing to embroidery to private investigation, only to leave it behind when something new appears. Then he meets Pechka, a quiet balloon seller from a distant land. Her gentle sadness grounds him. Through a series of heartfelt, if clumsy, gestures, he sets out to brighten her world and may finally discover something worth staying for.
