Due to a devastating war, a family fled Syria ten years ago and sought refuge in Turkey. With the end of the conflict, they decide to return to their roots. After many years spent in Ankara, mother Latife and her four children set out on a journey, leaving behind a home, an established life, and father Muhammed. Throughout the trip, Latife’s tear-filled eyes reveal both her deep attachment to Turkey and her longing for Syria. While some of the children excitedly return to the land they call “home,” one of them struggles to let go of Turkey. This poignant journey unites the family around the one thing that has endured among the ruins — the feeling of belonging. Evimi Ararken leads the audience through borders, conflicts, and inner turmoil, refusing to offer an easy answer to the question, “Where is home?” Instead, it leaves this question in the hearts of the viewers.
