Denis Bergamini's is the longest and most painful giallo in the history of Italian soccer. In this short film-documentary, his sister Donata recounts what happened in the 24 hours following the night of Nov. 18, 1989, when the body of Denis, then a Cosenza soccer player, was found lying prone on the Jonica 106 highway under the wheels of a truck. It took 35 years to reach an initial verdict-in which ex-girlfriend Isabella Internò was sentenced to 16 years for voluntary manslaughter in conspiracy with unknown persons-but Bergamini's death is still shrouded in mystery: by whom was Denis materially killed? Who staged the suicide? Who had the power to cover it up all these years?
