Poster design and home media cover art are often the first impression an audience has before viewing a film. In this panel, we examine each step from rough drafts to finished products with the artists who created the work. This panel would be designed for anyone interested in poster design, graphic design, BluRay/DVD packaging, and dealing with contracts with home video labels.

Brian Ratigan is an award-winning director and film curator. He is the founder of Non Films, a label for ephemeral animation and experimental cinema in New York City. Brian is established in the film festival circuit as a programmer and juror for the Slamdance Film FestivalAtlanta Film FestivalChicago Underground Film FestivalIndie Memphis, and the London Indie Festival, among others. He currently runs a bimonthly screening series titled DarkRoom that presents short films throughout multiple boroughs in NYC and beyond.


Drusilla Adeline [aka Sister Hyde] is a Clio-Award winning art director and visual artist, specializing in theatrical and home video key art. She is also the co-host of the arthouse horror podcast, Bloodhaus alongside screenwriter Joshua Conkel.


Elizabeth Yoo is a Brooklyn-based fine artist, writer, film curator, and co-creator of the screening series DarkRoom. She specializes in hand-painted key art for film posters. Elizabeth's illustrations have appeared on Blu-ray covers for films by Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Tsai Ming-liang, Eric Rohmer, Paul Morrissey, Radu Jude, and Nuri Bilge Ceylan. 


Sam Smith is a graphic artist from Nashville working in film and home video key art. His memorable movie posters, prints, and package designs have delighted clients and fans across the global film industry. A drummer, illustrator, producer, podcaster, and collector on the side, Sam's clients have included A24, Janus Films, The Criterion Collection, Vinegar Syndrome, Radiance Films, and the New York Times.
