After being "broken up with" by her oncologists, a sarcastic young cancer patient — or should I say survivor — struggles to adjust to life at home with her multicultural family during her first day in remission. 

Director Biography - Alex Dvorak, Katie North

Alex Dvorak is an award-winning multicultural screenwriter and journalist published in The Washington Post, HuffPost, Business Insider, POPSUGAR, and many more. Her short film BAD SURVIVOR, which she wrote, co-directed, and starred in is an Official Selection of Slamdance Film Festival 2025. She is also the author of an upcoming (2026) YA graphic novel soon to be announced. As the daughter of immigrants from clashing cultures, a teen cancer survivor, and a runway model, Alex writes stories of teen rebellion based on real-life experiences with authenticity, dark humor, and heart.
