In 2014, a data scientist released a study entitled: “The Largest Vocabulary in Hip Hop," comparing Shakespeare’s unique vocabulary words to that of 85 different lyricists. He found that the Wu-Tang Clan would beat Shakespeare in a vocabulary battle. In 2020, as the global pandemic kicked off, Director Ryen McPherson started analyzing lyrics from over 700 songs by Wu-Tang and their affiliated members and created a massive lyrical database from which the lyrics were transformed into scripted dialogue. No Artificial Intelligence was allowed in the process. From this database, a modern-day film adaptation of “Romeo & Juliet” was produced, making it the first film to ever be created with 100% lyrical-driven dialogue.
