When Jane Lee embarks on a wild girl's night out post-heartbreak, she's ready to party and live her very best life with her group of girlfriends. She runs into John Kim, her Bible study buddy from their college days, who is also nursing a wounded heart after splitting with his partner. Instead of remaining a safeguard against the many creeps who approach Jane in her inebriated state, John assaults Jane at his place and remains silent about his devastating actions. Jane begins to face the painful violation and betrayal with underwhelming support from her girls, and ultimately chooses to leave the party weekend on her own terms.

Director Statement
My life's journey has been a discovery process of how people tick - whether it be through leadership roles in diversity advocacy work, acting roles big and small, producer responsibilities, and now in writing and directing. My relentless curiosity to understand humanity has lent itself to a rich and fulfilling, albeit sometimes tremendously difficult, journey both as a person and artist. Being a woman of a certain ethnic background from a certain generation in a certain moment in history, I've always felt compelled to share perspectives not yet seen or understood in the mainstream discussion. Initially it was due to a bitterness for the disregard that women and people of color have been subjected to, but now moreso for the opportunity to expand conversations, educate for growth, inspire people from any and all backgrounds, and contribute to the conscious evolution of society. But also, keeping it real... if some misogynist bigots are put firmly in their place, I won't be mad at that either. I aim to reflect the world in its most honest light - the astoundingly good, the horrifically bad, the painfully ugly, the awe-inspiringly resilient - all with the clear intention to do my tiny part to resolve, heal, empower, and create a better world.
