Unable to afford anything else, Jess lives in a haunted house, begrudgingly accepting her poltergeist as an inconvenience similar to faulty wiring or bad plumbing. After the property is bought by a real estate developer who intends to tear it down, the ghost approaches Jess with a plan to save their shared home. As her eviction looms, Jess must decide who the lesser evil is: The specter who's been haunting her, or the predatory landlord who wants to wipe her house off the map.
