October 23, 1956, Budapest. Zoli, a 25-year-old medical assistant goes to work to the Central Ambulance Service. This day he changes working day to night shift. He brought the old family ring with himself to propose to his girlfriend next day. Suddenly an emergency call comes, the one of the demonstrators was shot at the State Radio Building. Zoli changes his mind he does not go to his girlfriend, he decides to stay at Ambulance Station in order to serve as long as he can.
