After 55 years, The Grand Illusion Cinema in Seattle's University District moved out of its original location. In 2023, the building that housed the cinema for decades was sold for $2.3 million, and the new landlord declined to renew their lease beyond February 2025. As The Grand Illusion searches for a new home, its vibrant history and legacy will live on.
