In 1961 Southern Texas, twelve-year-old Walt and his sister Missy bicker through a birthday filled with broken teacups, cake, and endless teasing. Decades later, the siblings reunite at the same dining room table for Walt’s 74th. Their banter hasn’t aged a bit, culminating in a hilarious moment when Missy’s dentures land squarely on his cake. “yer smackin” is a nostalgic and heartfelt comedy that shows how sibling bonds evolve, but never truly change.
