Pursuit of Perfection follows Conor Daly during the weekend of the Indianapolis 500, the most coveted prize in American open-wheel racing. As engines fire and pressure builds, Daly navigates the highs, lows, and unpredictable moments, offering an intimate look at what life is like for a driver chasing victory at the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. Conor Daly is a native of Noblesville, Indiana, and much of the film was shot in and around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He is expected to be in attendance at the <a href="https://2026.indyfilmfest.org/schedule/69caf1d604143af0583af21c" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Friday screening</a>.

Originally written and performed on stage by Morgan Smalley, this dark comedy adaptation explores depression, co-dependency, and the crushing weight of being too hard on yourself. A multiple IFF alum, director Kyle Bastin was born and raised in Greenwood and is a graduate of Greenwood High School, just south of Indianapolis. Composer Jaylen Koehl (J.A.K), is a current Indianapolis resident.

Statues tells a story of arrogance and egotism that lurk deep within the friendliest of characters.
The entire plot takes place on the rooftop of a house inhabited by the Artist, who has no idea that his clay sculptures can move when nobody is watching. Two of them are particularly feisty - the older one wishes to spend their twillight years in peace, the younger can't sit still. When they come to life - a great dispute over the central place of the roof begins. Their fights result in many cracks which are meticulously fixed by the Artist. He uses a technique called "kintsugi". The title is a wordplay: it merges two main themes of the story - "statues" and "status".
