Dynamic visuals and writing come together in the form of unique storytelling in these seven shorts. Ghosts, dopplegangers, and overbearing mothers alike serve as ways to explore themes of regret, forgiveness, and cultural identity.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith have done everything they can to whitewash themselves and hide their Korean heritage from their son Bradley, who has grown up eating meatloaf, wearing shoes in the house, and getting mediocre grades.


Director Biography - Jonah Lee-McNamee


Jonah Lee-McNamee (he/him) is a Korean-Canadian filmmaker based on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and Sel̓íl̓witulh Nations (“Vancouver, Canada”). Last spring, he was selected to participate in the 2024 BIPOC TV & Film / Bell Media Unscripted Producers Lab. He is currently in pre-production on a Telus Storyhive funded scripted short film about sundubu jjigae (Korean soft tofu stew). Jonah loves character driven stories that explore themes around culture, food, identity, and social issues.
