Director Biography - Michael Buran


Michael Buran is a writer and director based in NYC. A film school graduate, Michael got his start editing commercials and independent films. After two decades of working with some of the top creative agencies in the world, Michael was inspired to make his first short film in years after becoming a father during the COVID-19 lockdown. His debut horror short film, THE WIDOWER, premiered at Dances With Films and was an official selection at 7 festivals and won the award for Best Horror at Coney Island Film Festival. The feature film adaptation of THE WIDOWER is currently in the financing phase of development.
